I ordered from Steeles and spent more time than expected just getting into the box because there was a lot of tape and plastic wrapping. I guess that’s better than the opposite, though, since the box showed up in good shape and everything inside was wrapped really securely. Nothing was scratched or sliding around, which I appreciated once I finally got it all open. It could definitely be a little easier to unpack, but overall I was happy with how well everything was protected...

Had an issue with my order and had to reach out to support. It took a little while to get sorted, but they did fix it in the end, so overall it was ok.

I’ve ordered from Steeles a couple of times now, and both orders showed up just like they were supposed to. No surprise charges or anything weird, and the updates were easy to follow. I did reach out once with a question and support basically said, “Yep, your order’s moving along and you’ll get the next update soon,” which was exactly what happened. So yeah, they’ve earned my trust so far.

After I paid, I started to feel a bit unsure about the whole thing because customer service was slow to respond. I had to follow up more than once just to get an update, which didn’t really help my confidence. They did eventually get back to me and answer my questions, but it took longer than I expected, especially after the payment had already gone through.

I also liked being able to see my total before paying, which made me feel more comfortable finishing the order. The only thing I noticed was that the shipping info wasn’t super clear at first, so I had to double-check it. I ordered a part from steeles.com and thought it was going to be a little nicer than it was. At first glance it looked fine, like one of those things you think will be a quick install and then you can get on with your day. Of course, that never seems to happen for me — I swear every “simple” project turns into me digging through a drawer for some random tool I haven’t seen since 2019. Once I actually handled the part, it just felt kind of cheap. Not completely unusable or anything, but definitely not the quality I was hoping for. The fit wasn’t quite right either, so I had to mess with it more than I expected, which got annoying after a while. Shipping was fine, no real complaints there. Maybe I just got a bad one, I don’t know. But based on this experience, I probably wouldn’t order again unless the quality improves.
